Planting a walnut orchard for a newborn and his family
Let’s start a tradition in Moldova, to plant trees for all newborn children!
Or – Moldovans are so severe that they plant walnuts even in December.
In between November 30 – December 4, 2016, despite the beginning winter, part of the Seed It Forward team was planting a small walnut orchard for our friends and colleagues in village Riscova, Criuleni district.
In the process, it also became known that, at the same time, a child was born in that family – so, those young trees will also be in the honor of him and his parents.
Overall, 47 walnut saplings of the variety Pescianskii were planted, as well as a number of honey locusts as a live fence around them. Good start of the winter!
Incredibly dirty, but happy planters.
